Terms of Use
Last updated: 16/10/2026 · Tiếng Việt
Most important: LabelCue helps you read labels; it is not a medical device. Results can be wrong. If you have a severe allergy, always check the packaging yourself and follow your doctor’s advice.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing or using LabelCue, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. What LabelCue does
LabelCue reads the text on food labels that you photograph or look up by barcode, then points out the passages that may relate to the allergen groups in your profile. There are three kinds of result: “Needs attention”, “No match found” and “Not enough data”.
3. Limits of the results
- “No match found” only means that LabelCue did not find a match in the part of the label it read. It is not a confirmation that the product is suitable for you.
- Text recognition can be wrong because of blurry photos, glare, small print, or labels that are cut off or misprinted.
- Manufacturers may change their recipes. Information from product databases may be out of date or incomplete.
- The detection rule set only covers the allergen groups and names listed in the app.
You are responsible for deciding whether to eat or use a product. In an emergency, call the emergency services.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use LabelCue to send unlawful content, do not knowingly send false problem reports, and do not interfere with, probe or overload the servers.
5. Content you send
When you send a problem report, you allow LabelCue to use its content (the type of problem, the barcode, the note you write) to fix and improve the detection rule set. Do not put personal information about yourself or anyone else in the note.
6. LabelCue Plus
Scanning, warnings, the allergy card and your first profile are always free. LabelCue Plus is a subscription paid through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone) that adds family profiles, comparing two products and recipe change alerts. The price, billing period and free trial length are shown before you buy. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in the subscription management of Google Play or your Apple ID (for the App Store, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period); cancellations, refunds and free trials follow the policies of the store where you bought it. A subscription bought on Android and one bought on iPhone are two separate transactions. When your subscription expires, family profiles and watched products are still checked; you just cannot add new ones. Recipe change alerts depend on external product data and may be delayed or missed — they do not replace reading the packaging.
7. Third-party data
Some product information comes from Open Food Facts under the ODbL licence. See Data sources.
For the iPhone version, these terms apply together with Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA). Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
LabelCue is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the app’s results. These terms do not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the app, the rule set and these terms. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. You can stop using LabelCue at any time by uninstalling the app.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Please send any questions to support@labelcue.app.
